We welcomed over 120 pupils to our Primary Basketball Festival!
We were delighted to host our second Midlothian Primary Schools Basketball Festival on Wed 8th March at Gorebridge Leisure Centre.
Twelve primary schools from all across Midlothian participated, each bringing a mixed team of P6/7 pupils.
Active Schools organised and delivered the round robin tournament, where the focus was on fun! School teams were able to play 5 matches each, with games running on 2 courts simultaneously.
We were so impressed by the high quality of Basketball on show and the skills of the pupils! Some great sportsmanship too!
The event was supported by Basketball Scotland staff and coach Callum from High Flyers Basketball who assisted with refereeing.
Active Schools delivers two primary Basketball events in the school year to provide pupils with the opportunity to play other school teams in a fun environment. Scores are kept and the results are provided to schools.
