Emma Porteous has been selected for Scotland U/18 National team for trip to Ukraine at the end of this month.
Emma is the fourth girl to be selected for the National team that started playing football at Scottish FA/Midlothian Councils girls only football centre that was delivered by Scottish FA Community Coach and Active school co-ordinator Jenna McCandlish.
Jenna said “Emma like the other girls always showed a great attitude and determination and I am not surprised these girls are being rewarded for all their efforts now”
The other girls who have represented their country from this centre are Kirsty Smith, and sisters Natasha and Simone McMahon.
The girls only football centre still runs every Friday night during school term at Dalkeith Campus indoor hall 5.30pm-6.30pm.
