22 Midlothian primary schools participated across four Midlothian Sportshall Athletics Event heats taking place at Gorebridge Leisure Centre.

It was fantastic to welcome pupils & staff from Saltersgate school this year too!

Burnbrae and Bonnyrigg will now be invited to represent Midlothian at the East Regional Sportshall Athletics Finals 2024, taking place on Wednesday 28th February at the newly refurbished Meadowbank Stadium, where they will challenge themselves against schools from Edinburgh, Scottish Borders, East Lothian & West Lothian.

Thanks to all schools that took part and recognise the positive effort, determination and excellent sportsmanship that was displayed by the approximately 430 pupils across the 4 event heats.

Thanks also to all the helpers/volunteers, school staff, Lasswade Athetics Club coaches, Edinburgh College students, Gorebridge Leisure Centre staff & the Active Schools Team & Development Team for their support in making this event a success.

Please see below the top 8 places and points based on the overall event scoring system.
