KIC Dance and Active Schools come together to put on a fabulous end of term Dance Showcase!
Kic Dance and Active Schools put on a fantastic Summer Dance Showcase at The Lasswade Centre on Tuesday 7th June to mark the upcoming end of the academic year. The show featured dancers who have been attending Active Schools’ extracurricular clubs in the Lasswade and Penicuik area this term.
Pupils from Hawthornden, Burnbrae, Bonnyrigg, Cuiken, Mauricewood and Rosewell performed on the evening. Parents, grandparents and family watched pupils perform dances from street dance style to contemporary modern.
Kic Dance coaches led the evening, organising the innovative choreography and fun costumes. The audience enjoyed high energy performances from all primary age groups including our youngest P1-P2 dancers. Even with some group members missing, they pupils managed to put on a spectacular evening of dance. The evening also included some extra guests from KIC Dance Elite team, showing the younger dancers some more advanced choreography.
Active Schools will be running more dance sessions in association with Kic after the summer break, so keep an eye in the school bags for booking form coming home!
