Football is a core sport within Midlothian Sport Development Team.

Keith Wright joined the Midlothian Sports Development Team in 2005 having previous  coaching  experience with Hibs  and Livingston FC Youth Teams.

He enjoyed a long playing and coaching career in football before starting his current football development role  with Midlothian Council.

He started his career with Raith Rovers FC in 1983 before moving on to Dundee FC, Hibs FC, Greenock Morton FC and finishing his career with player manager role with Cowdenbeath FC.  He also represented his country against Northern Ireland in 1992.

Keith then gained his SFA A Licence and Youth Licence which enabled him to coach pro youth teams and apply for his current post.

Programmes are delivered in partnership with the Scottish Football Association and Active Schools.  The programmes are varied and give all children the opportunity to enjoy football and develop to their full potential. Below are some of the programmes currently on offer:
