We had a great morning of Basketball at our recent Midlothian Primary Schools festival!!
There were over 120 primary children shooting hoops and having fun at the recent Midlothian Basketball Festival at Danderhall Leisure Centre. It was great to see so much enthusiasm and energy, and lovely to have along some new schools who came to their first ever festival!
We had 2 courts running simultaneously, with 30 high energy games being played altogether. There were some great Basketball skills on show and many high scoring games.
A big thank you to Kieran and Aiden, our referees from Basketball Scotland, for their hard work, enthusiasm and encouragement, and to the Active Schools team for the slick running of the event.
Also congratulations to our Star Players of the festival – Archie, Josh, Gemma and Sophie. They showed some fantastic sportsmanship and skills on court!
We look forward to seeing you all again in March 2017 for heaps more Midlothian Basketball!
