Active Schools KIC Dance Showcase Term 1 2018-19

KIC Dance and Active Schools put on a fabulous Dance Showcase to mark the end of a brilliant winter term!

Dance show 2018 winter

KIC Dance and Active Schools put on a fantastic Winter Dance Showcase at Penicuik High School on Tuesday 4th December to mark the upcoming end of term 1 2018/19. The show featured dancers who have been attending Active Schools’ extracurricular clubs across Midlothian this term.

Pupils from Hawthornden, Burnbrae, Bonnyrigg, Cuiken, Mauricewood, Rosewell, Roslin, Paradykes, St Marys, Sacred Heart, Bilston, Woodburn, Lawfield, St Davids, Loanhead, St Margarets and Lasswade performed during two separate shows on the evening. Parents and family members watched pupils perform dances from street dance style to contemporary modern. This showcase allowed pupils the opportunity to show off what they learnt in their morning, lunchtime and after school active schools clubs during this first term.

KIC Dance coaches led the evening, organising the innovative choreography and fun costumes. The audience enjoyed high energy performances from all primary age groups including our youngest P1-P2 dancers. Even with some group members missing, they pupils managed to put on a spectacular evening of dance.

Active Schools will be running more dance sessions in association with KIC after the Christmas break, so keep an eye in the school bags for booking form coming home!
