National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

The Penicuik Centre will be hosting a NPLQ course on the following dates:

Monday 16th to Saturday 21st July 2018

 

Candidates must be 16 years of age or above

Course must be paid in full by the Sunday 01st July 2018.

Cost:  Adult -            £ to be confirmed
          Concession -  £ to be confirmed

Every candidate, prior to commencement of training for the NPLQ must:

• Be 16 years of age
• Be able to meet the following basic fitness criteria:
• Jump/dive into deep water
• Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
• Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
• Tread water for 30 seconds
• Surface dive to the floor of the pool
• Climb out unaided without ladder/steps
• COURSE FEE NON-REFUNDABLE
